After gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from WSCAD I went on to complete a MA in Animation at Bournemouth University.
As a creative I was fortunate to work for many years in the animation industry at studios such as Aardman Animations, 4:2:2 and Picasso Pictures. I then went on to set up two boutique animation houses in Bristol.
I was also on the board of the Encounters Film festivals.
I currently spend most of my time working on writing & illustration projects and running the small press Retro Inc Books.
Amongst others I have a BBC Talent award for Animation, a Royal Television Society award, and have been in competition at Annecy, Edinburgh, Portland, London and numerous other international film festivals.
My children’s book ‘Chester and the Eggie Boo‘ was runner up in Writing Magazines Self Published Book of the Year Award in 2016.
For my writing projects I have received a commendation at The Winchester Writers Festival and a new series idea I am working on is currently long listed in the Writing Magazine Chapter book 2020 prize.
I live in the sunny South West of England with my musician wife, fantastic son, and naughty border terrier.
